why people have only one mouth and two ear?

Having two ears allows people figure out which direction a sound is coming from, the same way having two eyes allows people to perceive depth. Your mouth doesn't pick up information from the outside environment, it only has to sense the taste of what you put in it.But that makes me wonder why our nostrils aren't farther apart. Even in animals that have more sensitive noses than us can't really sense the direction a smell is coming from. That would be cool

i think the best answer is that we can listen twice as much as we talk. cool. Seriously, gods made it for an awesome reason .
